Parachute

One day I will strap on a parachute,
Jump out my second story window,
And won’t reach the ground for thirty minutes.
As I float I will take my typewriter and pen two beautiful lullabies,
One for my lovely Argenta,
And my dear Kristopher,
Both haven’t been born yet.

I will see their smiles,
Hear their giggles,
And toss them into the air,
Just so I can see their wings flutter.
My darling angels would smile infectiously,
This would move me to write another line,
And another,
And another.

When I reach the ground,
My angels return back to Heaven,
Once again I will weep for joy,
Knowing that one day,
They will be wrapped in my arms,
And everything I have done up to this point,

Was worth it.
